How long have you been in business?
ECOH was founded in 1994 as a cooperative using employer health purchasing power to improve quality and reduce cost of healthcare in the Rock River Valley
What is your primary product or service?
We provide an employer-owned provider network to employer memebrs who either self-fund health benefits, or obtain coverage through an ECOH- affiliated health insurance carrier
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
ECOH is owned and operated by the participating employers using a professional staff with varied experience in health plan operations, provider relations, performance measurement and quality improvement.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
ECOH is the supply chain management arm of the employers - purchasing healthcare from the valued trading partner providers of the Rock River Valley. We are purchasers and providers working together without middlemen.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
ECOH has one administrative location in Rockford IL
Provide detailed directions to your location
We are located on the 5th floor of the Edgebrook Office Building, located behind the Edgebrook Shopping Center. The building does not sit on Alpine Road. From I-90, exit at State Street, Business 20. Head west on State Street. Turn right (north) on Alpine Road and proceed until you get to Highcrest Road (Edgebrook Shopping Center). Turn right (east) on Highcrest Road, then turn left on Comanche. Follow the parking lot around by turning left again on Delcy and enter the parking lot at the second entrance to your left.
What type of payments do you accept?
Member dues are paid per employee per month upon invoice from ECOH
Which areas do you service?
ECOH serves the southern tier of Wisconsin counties, South to I-80, from the IL border at the Mississippi in the West to the Chicago suburbs in the East
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
ECOH is lead by a board of member company representatives. The Executive Director is Paul W. Brand
What are your hours of operation?
ECOH operates 8AM-4:30PM Monday through Friday. Summer hours are 7:30AM-5PM Monday through Thursday, 8AM-Noon Fridays.
